Fazenda do Serrado, Brasil
Natural Processed Yellow Bourbon
In the mountainous Carmo de Minas region, Maria Rogéria Costa Pereira manages Fazenda do Serrado along with her sister, Maria Valéria. The region produces more award-winning coffee than any other in Brasil, Fazenda do Serrado being no exception, having placed in the Brasil Cup of Excellence three times. The elevation, 1200 masl, allows the yellow bourbon variety to slowly develop its mature sugars and acids before being derriça-picked by the 150 harvesters. The coffee is remarkably clean for a natural, with caramel sweetness, a cornucopia of fruit tones—cherry, muscat grape, tangerine, a hint of passion fruit—and a bouquet of floral aromas.
